The Fall
Children romping, with so much glee,
In fallen leaves; so happy and free.
Giggling and tossing leaves all around;
That dad raked, in a pile, on the ground.
Leaves on their clothes and in their hair.
Pretty colored leaves, everywhere !
Looking out the window, dad says.
"I guess
I'll go back out and clean up that mess."
Mom brings him coffee, gives him a kiss
And says, "Wait, I've just got to see this."
Together, they watch their little boy
Romping and rolling in leaves. What joy !
Is there another time that you can recall
More fun than raked up leaves in the Fall?
