In this life

 In this life Lord,
 I know there is salvation.
 Salvation comes through
 Knowing you.

 But Lord my days are dark and dreary,
 No sunshine do I see,
 For I am stranded Lord,
 Can’t you see?

 I know that prayers get answered,
 You’ve answered mine before,
 But Lord am I not praying,
 The way I should?

 I pray for forgiveness,
 For the enemies of mine,
 When deep in my heart,
 It’s terribly hard.

 I pray for others Lord,
 Not often do I pray for me.
 For I feel it selfish Lord,
 To ask for anything for me.

 I try to in this life,
 Do what I feel is right,
 I try not to fight,
 For that isn’t right.

 But right now Lord,
 Right this very minute,
 My world is dark and cold.
 

 Please help me Lord,
 Help me tonight,
 For my world is fast crumbling,
 And I need to make it right.
