ONE HOUR A WEEK

If you had a worker,
And you were the boss;
A man shows up one hour a week,
What would be the cost?

Would you pay him anyway,
Or would you let him go;
When he got his pay check,
What would his earnings show?

Would you reward the man,
And pat him on the back;
Give him his full paycheck,
And ask him to come back?

The man might expect it,
We know that won't fly;
Because unproductive businesses,
Surely they will die.

Now if I am the worker,
And God is the boss;
I work only one hour a week,
What will be his cost?

Should he bless me anyway,
Or should he let me go;
If you are his worker,
What do your earnings show?

Should he reward us any way,
And pat us on the back;
Give us his blessings,
And ask us to come back?

The blessings we expect them,
But worthy we are not;
Because sometime during the week,
The Lord we have forgot....
